Statement of Faith

The Authority of Scripture: We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, authoritative and infallible. It is the ultimate source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 - “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness. “Psalm 119:105 - “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.” Matthew 4:4 “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.

The Lordship of Jesus Christ: We affirm that Jesus (Yeshua) the Messiah is the Son of God, fully divine and fully human. He is the way, the truth, and the life, and through Him alone can we receive salvation and eternal life. John 14:6 - “Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’ “Philippians 2:9-11 - “Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name.

The Power of the Gospel: We hold that the Gospel is the good news of Jesus Christ—His life, death, and resurrection—and it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes. Romans 1:16 - “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes.” 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 - “The gospel… by which you are saved… Christ died for our sins… He was buried… He was raised on the third day.”

Salvation by Grace through Faith: We believe that salvation is a gift of grace from God, received through faith in Jesus Christ. It is not earned by human efforts or good works. Ephesians 2:8-9 - “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.” John 3:16 - “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

The Role of the Holy Spirit: We acknowledge the Holy Spirit as the Comforter and Guide, who empowers believers for godly living and service, and convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment.John 16:13 - “When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth.” Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you.”

The Church as the Body of Christ: We affirm that the church is the living body of Christ on earth, called to worship God, to nurture believers, and to proclaim the Gospel to the world. 1 Corinthians 12:27 - “Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.” Ephesians 4:12 - “To equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up.”

The Sanctity of Christian Fellowship: We uphold the importance of Christian fellowship and community, recognizing the value of gathering together for worship, encouragement, and mutual edification. Hebrews 10:24-25 - “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together.” Acts 2:42 - “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.”

The Call to Holiness: We believe that Christians are called to live holy lives, transformed by the renewing of their minds, in obedience to God’s Word. 1 Peter 1:15-16 - “But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do.” Romans 12:1-2 - “Therefore, I urge you… to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God.”

The Ministry of Healing and Reconciliation: We are committed to the ministry of healing, believing that God heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds, and we advocate for reconciliation in Christ. James 5:16 - “Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.” 2 Corinthians 5:18-19 - “All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation.”

The Promise of Christ’s Return: We affirm the blessed hope of the return of Jesus Christ, the resurrection of the dead, and the final judgment. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 - “For the Lord himself will come down from heaven… and the dead in Christ will rise first.” Revelation 22:12 - “Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me.”

Building the Kingdom of God: We dedicate ourselves to the mission of building God’s Kingdom, actively participating in His work through evangelism, service, and living out the Gospel. Matthew 6:33 - “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” Matthew 28:19-20 - “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations… teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”

God’s Unchanging Nature and His Appointed Festivals: We affirm that God is eternal and unchanging, His faithfulness and love are constant. We recognize and honor God’s appointed festivals as described in Leviticus 23. These holy days are not just historical observances but are spiritually significant, illuminating the work and person of Jesus (Yeshua) the Messiah and pointing towards God’s eternal plan for humanity. Malachi 3:6 - “I the Lord do not change.” Leviticus 23:1-44 - Detailed instructions on the feasts of the Lord, including Sabbath, Passover, Feast of Firstfruits, Feast of Weeks, Feast of Trumpets, Day of Atonement, and Feast of Tabernacles.

The Sabbath (Leviticus 23:3)

• Significance: Represents God’s eternal rest and the peace found in Christ, pointing to the ultimate rest in God’s Kingdom.
• Old Testament Reference: Genesis 2:2-3 - “By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work.”
• New Testament Reference: Hebrews 4:9-10 - “There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his.”

The Passover and Unleavened Bread (Leviticus 23:4-8)

• Significance: Symbolize Christ’s sacrifice as the Passover Lamb and the call to live a life free from sin, representing redemption and sanctification.
• Old Testament Reference: Exodus 12:13 - “The blood will be a sign for you on the houses where you are, and when I see the blood, I will pass over you.”
• New Testament Reference: 1 Corinthians 5:7 - “For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed.”

The Feast of Firstfruits (Leviticus 23:9-14)

• Significance: Represents Christ’s resurrection as the firstfruits of those who have died, indicating the promise of our future resurrection.
• Old Testament Reference: Leviticus 23:10 - “Bring to the priest a sheaf of the first grain you harvest.”
• New Testament Reference: 1 Corinthians 15:20-23 - “But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.”

The Feast of Weeks or Pentecost (Leviticus 23:15-22)

• Significance: Marks the giving of the Holy Spirit and the birth of the Church, signifying the ingathering of God’s people.
• Old Testament Reference: Deuteronomy 16:10 - “Then celebrate the Festival of Weeks to the Lord your God.”
• New Testament Reference: Acts 2:1-4 - “When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Then a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting.”

The Feast of Trumpets (Leviticus 23:23-25)

• Significance: Symbolizes the return of Christ and the gathering of God’s people, a reminder of the coming judgment and redemption.
• Old Testament Reference: Numbers 29:1 - “On the first day of the seventh month hold a sacred assembly and do no regular work. It is a day for you to sound the trumpets.”
• New Testament Reference: 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 - “For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God.”

The Day of Atonement (Leviticus 23:26-32)

• Significance: Represents the atoning sacrifice of Christ and the ultimate reconciliation with God, pointing to the final judgment and redemption.
• Old Testament Reference: Leviticus 16:30 - “On this day atonement will be made for you, to cleanse you. Then, before the Lord, you will be clean from all your sins.”
• New Testament Reference: Hebrews 9:11-12 - “But when Christ came as high priest… he entered the Most Holy Place once for all by his own blood, thus obtaining eternal redemption.”

The Feast of Tabernacles (Leviticus 23:33-44)

• Significance: Symbolizes God’s faithful provision and His dwelling among His people, foreshadowing the coming Kingdom where God will dwell with humanity.
• Old Testament Reference: Zechariah 14:16 - “Then the survivors from all the nations that have attacked Jerusalem will go up year after year to worship the King, the Lord Almighty, and to celebrate the Festival of Tabernacles.”
• New Testament Reference: Revelation 21:3 - “And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, ‘Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them.”
